Why Choose Us?

About Seven Arrows Recovery

Seven Arrows Recovery is a Tuscon inpatient addiction treatment center. Our structured inpatient treatment program was designed to treat an array of individuals, including those in recovery for the first time and those who experience chronic relapse. Every client at Seven Arrows Recovery gets an individualized treatment plan that aligns with their personal history, life goals, and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Inpatient treatment is valuable because it is an immersive experience that allows you to distance yourself from triggers in everyday life as you heal and build a new set of skills to cope with or navigate them. Our compassionate team of physicians, clinicians, and addiction specialists use a multidisciplinary approach to address addiction and co-occurring disorders or concerns.

The length of your treatment stay will vary based on your needs, but many people attend care for around 45 days. Before you leave Seven Arrows Recovery, we will help you create an aftercare plan that sets you up for success post-treatment. For those who have finished treatment, Seven Arrows Recovery offers alumni support.

Seven Arrows Recovery is located at the base of the Swisshelm Mountain in Elfrida, Arizona. Our proximity to Albuquerque makes Seven Arrows Recovery an ideal fit for those searching for an Albuquerque drug and alcohol rehab center. Clients benefit from staying in a serene environment with walking trails, horses, and nature.

What We Treat

Seven Arrows Recovery treats substance abuse and potential co-occurring concerns. Clients with an addiction to prescription drugs, alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, nicotine, marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy (MDMA), methamphetamines, and other substances find healing at Seven Arrows Recovery. Potential co-occurring concerns we address in our Arizona dual diagnosis treatment at Seven Arrows Recovery include but aren’t limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, anger, and grief.

Admissions and insurance

Our admissions process consists of four steps:

  1. First, you’ll discuss your personal treatment needs with an admission coordinator.
  2. Then, we’ll verify your insurance coverage or another payment option for treatment. We accept all private insurance plans with out-of-network benefits and the American Indian Health Plan (AIHP).
  3. After that, you’ll schedule and complete an intake questionnaire with your intake coordinator.
  4.  Finally, you’ll arrange travel to Seven Arrows Recovery or to a detox center that you will transfer to our program from if needed.

Our Programs for Substance Abuse Treatment in Albuquerque

Our inpatient addiction treatment program consists of regular groups, individual therapy sessions, recreation activities, and family support sessions. You will attend four hours of group therapy at Seven Arrows daily and 1-2 individual therapy sessions per week. Family support sessions occur 1-2 times during your treatment or as needed.
Seven Arrows Recovery offers a range of evidence-based therapies and treatments for addiction and dual diagnosis care. If you are looking for an Albuquerque drug and alcohol rehab center and think that we might be the right fit or have questions about the treatments we use, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Therapies and treatments we use include but aren’t limited to the following.

Many people with substance use disorders have also survived trauma. The staff at Seven Arrows Recovery are informed on the nervous system and the effects that substance abuse, trauma, and other life experiences can have on it, as well as how trauma can impact both the body and mind. Our staff members have expertise in various therapeutic modalities used for trauma.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a non-invasive and highly efficacious form of therapy that can be used for an extensive range of concerns. Among other benefits, CBT can help you learn coping skills, identify emotions, reframe maladaptive thoughts, and navigate impulses.

Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) teaches mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and other skills. DBT can help you improve your relationships, increase internal feelings of well-being, and better navigate distress, conflict, and triggers.

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a treatment initially designed to address trauma. EMDR moves in stages and uses bilateral stimulation to reduce the vividness of an emotional reaction to traumatic memories, address negative self-beliefs, or work through other applicable concerns. EMDR is now used for addiction and other concerns, as well as trauma.

Brainspotting (BSP) is a form of therapy that works to uncover unprocessed trauma through fixed eye positions. In a brain spotting session, a therapist will use a pointer and ask you to recall past events that provoked anxiety or stress, which resulted in substance use. You will then work on processing and releasing negative traumatic memories by finding the eye position or brain spot where you felt the strongest emotions.

Person-centered therapy is an approach to talk therapy that aims to increase self-acceptance and self-esteem while minimizing negative feelings or thoughts about oneself. You’ll learn how to preserve a positive regard for yourself, which can help you move through the world in recovery and get into a productive mental state for your well-being.

At Seven Arrows Recovery, we offer a range of holistic treatments. These include but aren’t limited to mindfulness, meditation, trauma-informed yoga, sweat lodge ceremonies, and massage.

Equine-assisted treatment for addiction involves caring for, interacting with, and riding horses. During the process, you’ll be overseen by qualified riding instructors. Many people enjoy the benefits of nature and increased physical activity provided by equine-assisted treatment.

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a common evidence-based form of talk therapy most often used to address addiction and other concerns, such as eating disorders or non-adherence to medication. It is highly beneficial for those who feel unmotivated or unprepared for change.

Recreation can be a restorative and life-changing part of treatment. We offer a range of recreation activities and amenities, including but not limited to music, indoor and outdoor fitness options, and gardening.

A successful rehab program should make you feel prepared to confidently re-enter everyday life. We offer life skills training that will set you up for success in daily life post-treatment.

Aftercare helps you set yourself up for continued recovery and success post-treatment. Seven Arrows Recovery Center offers 12-step programs and ongoing family care for clients who have completed treatment. Additionally, all clients build a personalized aftercare plan as they prepare to graduate from their program.
