Ginger Barker LAC, CCTS

Helping others on their path to healing and personal growth is a passion Gingers.. She is an Arizona native and a proud Wildcat. She earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona and then her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University while living in Europe. 

Ginger has experience working with adolescents and adults across a variety of settings including residential care, education, athletics and military. These opportunities have helped shape her and deepen her understanding. She specializes in recovery from addictions, unwanted behaviors, and other stress-related or quality of life issues. She is licensed as an associate counselor and working under supervision.

Ginger is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). This treatment incorporates memory visualization techniques that are enhanced by the use of eye movements, as well as memory reconsolidation, a way in which new information is incorporated into existing memories. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with an emphasis in the area of addiction and a certified Trauma Conscious Yoga Method provider.

Ginger is direct, compassionate and genuine. She operates from a trauma-informed lens utilizing psychoeducation and an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment according to each individual’s needs. A partnership leading toward understanding, empowerment and sustained recovery.
