For some of our clients, aftercare plans involve transferring to an outpatient or partial hospitalization program at another facility. For others, aftercare could involve attending support groups or getting support through other means (e.g., individual therapy not connected to a treatment program).Â
Aftercare can look different from person to person and can differ based on factors such as finances, insurance coverage, when a client chooses to go back to work or school if applicable and other aspects of a person's life, such as whether they have a family to take care of.
