Built for specific lives, not a template.

Six of the most common people we work with, and how treatment adapts to each. Every admission starts with a call — we’ll tell you honestly whether Seven Arrows is the right fit for your situation.

Working professionals

Executives, attorneys, founders

High-functioning clients whose drinking or use has stayed hidden behind performance. Our boutique census (small group sizes, private rooms) and confidential admissions suit clients whose career and reputation need protection alongside clinical care.

First responders & veterans

Police, fire, EMS, active-duty and vets

Trauma-informed care for clients whose exposure to critical incidents, moral injury, or combat has driven substance use. In-network with TRICARE. Our TraumAddiction™ approach is built for this population.

Healthcare professionals

Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists

Clinicians with board or licensure concerns, monitoring-program referrals (Arizona Medical Association PHP, state nursing boards), or high access to controlled substances. Discreet, clinically rigorous, documentation-friendly.

Parents & spouses

Balancing family and recovery

Still-at-home parents, empty-nest parents, and spouses whose addiction is affecting the family system. Weekly family support sessions, our Family Program, and a clear pathway for loved ones to participate without blurring clinical boundaries.

Young adults (18–28)

Early-onset, stimulants, polysubstance

Clients in early adulthood whose use has outpaced development — often stimulant-driven, often polysubstance, often tangled with anxiety, depression, or ADHD. Structured residential container with developmentally appropriate groups.

Older adults (50+)

Late-onset or chronic use, alcohol and benzos

Clients whose substance use became unmanageable in midlife or later — often alcohol, often benzodiazepines prescribed for decades. Medically attentive, paced to the body, and built for the co-occurring conditions this population carries.

Substances and what comes with them.

We treat substance use disorders and the mental-health conditions that almost always travel alongside them. Our dual-diagnosis program holds both sides of the case at once.

Co-occurring conditions

Dual-diagnosis conditions we hold alongside substance use

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) & complex trauma
  • Major depressive disorder (MDD)
  • Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) & panic disorder
  • Bipolar II disorder (stabilized)
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • ADHD — inattentive and combined type
  • Grief, moral injury, and stress-related conditions
  • Process addictions (gambling, compulsive sexual behavior)

Honest about fit.

Our admissions team will tell you candidly whether we’re the right place for your situation. When we aren’t, we refer to trusted partners who are.

Good fit

Seven Arrows is likely right for you if…

  • You are 18 or older and willing to engage

Our program is voluntary, adult, and residential. Readiness matters more than perfection — you don’t need to be motivated every minute to benefit from treatment.

  • You have completed medical detox (or don't need one)

We accept clients post-detox. If you’re still in acute withdrawal, we coordinate a partnered detox stay first so you arrive medically stable.

  • You have a diagnosed or suspected substance use disorder

Alcohol, opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, cannabis, or polysubstance use — with or without a formal DSM-5 diagnosis on file at intake.

  • You have co-occurring mental-health symptoms

Anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, or stabilized bipolar II that have been feeding or following the substance use. Our dual-diagnosis program is built for this.

  • You can participate in group and land-based programming

Residential care is relational. You’ll share space, meals, groups, and the ranch with a small cohort of peers.

  • You want a small, private, trauma-informed setting

If a 200-bed chain feels wrong, Seven Arrows is the alternative — boutique census, private rooms, a 160-acre ranch.

We may refer out

We may not be the right level of care if…

  • Active psychosis or unstable mania

Clients experiencing active psychotic symptoms or unmanaged manic episodes need a higher level of psychiatric care than our residential program provides. We’ll help you find the right placement.

  • Acute medical detox requiring hospital-level care

Severe alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, complicated opioid detox with medical comorbidities, or any condition needing ICU-level monitoring. We partner with detox facilities to bridge the gap.

  • Imminent suicidal or homicidal intent

Clients in acute crisis need inpatient psychiatric stabilization before residential SUD treatment. We’ll stay in contact and welcome you once stabilized.

  • Severe cognitive impairment

Advanced dementia or significant traumatic brain injury that prevents engaging in group or individual therapy. Specialized neurorehab settings are a better fit.

  • Court-ordered clients requiring locked units

Seven Arrows is a voluntary, open residential setting. Clients who require a secure or locked facility per court mandate need a different level of care.

  • Clients under 18

We serve adults 18 and older only. For adolescents, we’re happy to recommend trusted partners who specialize in teen addiction treatment.

Complexity we’re built for

Boutique doesn’t mean easy cases.

Our small census lets us do harder clinical work, not less. We hold cases that other boutique programs refer out — chronic relapse, medical complexity, multi-diagnosis trauma, and monitoring referrals.

  1. Chronic relapse after prior treatment

Clients with two, three, or five+ prior residential stays. We don’t treat relapse as failure — we treat it as clinical information, and redesign the container accordingly.

  2. Post-detox medical fragility

Clients arriving post-acute alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, medical stabilization after opioid detox, or complicated cardiac or hepatic recovery. Nursing support and on-call medical oversight.

  3. Complex trauma and PTSD

Childhood trauma, developmental trauma, combat-related PTSD, moral injury. Our TraumAddiction™ approach pairs somatic interventions (SE, ART) with cognitive work so neither side gets skipped.

  4. Treatment-resistant depression + anxiety

Clients with partial-response histories on SSRIs, SNRIs, or augmentation. We coordinate with prescribers, monitor response, and layer evidence-based therapies that the medication alone wasn’t reaching.

  5. Stabilized bipolar II and OCD

Clients with a stable medication regimen for bipolar II or OCD who need substance-use-focused care that doesn’t destabilize their psychiatric picture. We stay in regular contact with existing prescribers.

  6. Licensure and monitoring referrals

Physicians, nurses, pilots, and attorneys in state monitoring programs (AZ Medical Association PHP, state nursing boards, FAA HIMS) where documentation, discretion, and continuity matter as much as the clinical work.

Arizona’s only 160-acre ranch rehab— open to the country.

Our campus sits in Cochise County in the southeastern corner of Arizona, at the base of the Swisshelm Mountains. We serve clients traveling in from across Arizona, the broader Southwest, and nationwide — admissions will handle travel logistics, airport pickup, and timing.

Neighboring regions

Southwest & the Sun Belt

We regularly serve clients from Albuquerque and Santa Fe (New Mexico), Las Vegas and Henderson (Nevada), Los Angeles and San Diego (California), and El Paso and Austin (Texas). Direct flights into Tucson or Phoenix Sky Harbor make Arizona treatment practical from across the Southwest.

Nationwide clients

Travel support from any state

Many clients fly in from the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and Midwest. Admissions helps coordinate flights, airport pickup at Tucson International (TUS), and any documentation you need from a referring clinician or monitoring program.

We treat the client. We include the family.

Addiction is a family disease, and recovery holds better when the family heals alongside the client. If you’re researching treatment for a spouse, parent, or adult child, you’ll have real support from the moment you call.

Explore our Family Program
  1. Weekly family support sessions

Structured virtual sessions with the client and their closest family members, held by a member of the clinical team. Boundaried and focused on the work that has to happen inside the family system for recovery to last.

  2. Family education groups

Open-enrollment, multi-week psychoeducation on addiction as a family disease, co-regulation, boundaries, enabling patterns, and what to expect during and after residential care. Families can attend whether their loved one is in care or not.

  3. Coordinated logistics

Admissions and the clinical team handle visitation requests, family weekend logistics, release-of-information paperwork, and any communication the clinical team can authorize — so families can spend their bandwidth on the work, not the operations.
